The University of Washington has the top primary-care medical school in the nation, according to the 2002 U.S. News & World Report annual rankings of graduate programs and professional schools. In the Best Graduate Schools from U.S. News & World Report, released in April, the magazine put 20 UW programs and specialties among the top 10 in categories reranked or newly ranked this year. Numerous other UW master’s and doctoral programs have been ranked in previous years and are also listed in the book.
This is the ninth straight year that the School of Medicine has been named the top primary-care medical school. In the ranking of research medical schools, the UW was ranked 10th.
