Split on Commencement
For the Columns Alumni Vote in June, we asked if alumni attended the main graduation ceremony when they completed their UW degree. The 952 responses broke down to 59 percent “yes” and 41 percent “no.”

In our March Columns alumni vote on who has more pride, we found that both Huskies and Cougars have a lot of devotion to their alma maters—and for a few alumni of both schools, perhaps too much.

For the first time in its 138-year history, the University of Washington conducted a poll of undergraduate alumni five and 10 years after graduation. The Classes of '88 and '93 gave the UW high marks for their learning experience.
